Demonstration of Extubation Procedure

Learning Objectives
Identify the essential airway and intubation equipment required to safely perform extubation and to immediately re‑establish an advanced airway if extubation fails
Explain physiologic and clinical criteria used to determine patient readiness for extubation following mechanical ventilation
Apply appropriate preparation steps and equipment setup to ensure patient safety during planned extubation
Analyze patient respiratory effort, oxygenation, and secretion management during and immediately after extubation to detect early signs of airway compromise
Evaluate extubation outcomes to determine whether ongoing airway support, escalation of care, or re‑intubation readiness is required
