SCCM Innovation in Education Award
OPENPediatrics received the Innovation in Education Award from the Society of Critical Care Medicine at the 2025 Critical Care Congress in Orlando, Florida. The award recognizes an educator or team who demonstrate excellence and creativity in the development of an innovative, multiprofessional education program relating to management of critically ill patients.

2025 AACPDM Fred P. Sage Award
The Complex Care Journal Club Podcast on OPENPediatrics is the recipient of the 2025 American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) Fred P. Sage Award. The award is presented to the best multimedia submission featuring clinical, research, or educational material in digital format.

OPENPediatrics was awarded the 2024 Teaching Program Award by the Academic Pediatric Association. This prestigious award aims to foster interest in the teaching of general pediatrics by giving national recognition to an outstanding general pediatric program. We thank the Academic Pediatric Association for this honor.

Digital Education Awards - Team of the Year
OPENPediatrics was named the 2023 Digital Education Team of the Year, and as the Gold Award Winner for the top overall program across the 11 award categories. The annual Digital Education Awards celebrate outstanding achievements by individuals, institutions, and technologies that have made significant contributions to advancing learning in digital education.

International E-Learning Award
The OPENPediatrics mechanical ventilation simulator was awarded the 2023 Silver E-Learning Experience Award (Academic Division) by the International E-Learning Association (IELA) at the Interactive Collaborative Learning Conference in Madrid, Spain. The Silver E-Learning Experience Award recognizes the best uses of technology to improve learning and job performance within companies or through individual professional development.

Microsoft Education Tech Awards Laureate
The Tech Awards are given out annually to recognize projects that address globally significant problems through innovative uses of technology. The Tech Awards recognize projects and individuals in five categories—Environment, Education, Young Innovator, Health and Economic Development —with two laureates per category named.

Silver E-Learning Experience Award, Academic Division
Presented by the International E-Learning Association (IELA), our mechanical ventilation simulator was awarded the Silver E-Learning Experience Award in the Academic Division in 2023. The åward recognizes the best uses of technology to improve learning and job performance within companies or through individual professional development.

American Society of Nephrology Innovations in Kidney Education Contest Winner
The ASN Innovations in Kidney Education Contest was launched to stimulate the development of innovative tools to teach medical students, residents, and fellows aspects of nephrology, including renal physiology, pathophysiology, and clinical diseases. OPENPediatrics was named a winner of the American Society of Nephrology Innovations in Kidney Education for the development of our forthcoming Hemodialysis Simulator.
