Introduction to the Treatment of Pain with Opioid Medications
Dr. Berde’s lecture presents a clinical approach to the treatment of pediatric patients with pain using a risk/benefit analysis approach, reviews the development of pain perception in the developing child and describes titration of opioid medications to clinical effect.

Explain the purpose and correct use of key intubation equipment, including airway devices, visualization tools, and adjuncts.
Demonstrate proper preparation and functional verification of intubation equipment in a simulated or controlled clinical setting.
Analyze clinical airway scenarios to select appropriate intubation equipment and anticipate potential complications.
Evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an intubation setup and implement improvements to optimize airway management outcomes.
