National Nurses Week: OP's Top Nursing Resources

In honor of National Nurses Week 2015, we are sharing a list of the top nursing resources available on OPENPediatrics' Clinician Community Site.

  • Accessing a Central Venous Catheter - this video, by Mary-Jeanne Manning, APRN, MSN, BC, PNP, CCRN, a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Boston Children's Hospital, is one of the most viewed videos on OP. It is an example of the expert nursing content published on OP.
  • Nursing World Shared Practice Forum - these monthly forums, such as Ulrika Kreicbergs', PhD, RN "Family Bereavement: The Roles of Nurses," feature international leaders in nursing research discussing their latest work. You can explore a complete archive of these videos, and join future forums on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
  • Case Study: Arrhythmias - this is one of our newer nursing videos, presented by Christine LaGrasta, MS, RN, CPNP PC/AC, a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Boston Children's Hospital. This interactive video allows users to test their knowledge by answering questions about a case scenario. Watch this and other case study videos, and leave your answers in the comments section of the video to share your practices with other nurses from around the world.

We are constantly adding more nursing resources, and are so excited to continue expanding our nursing community. Check back frequently for upcoming content, such as a Nursing Cardiac Intensive Care Unit curriculum, that will provide a comprehensive overview of nursing roles in the CICU. Access excerpts from more of our nursing clinician videos in our library. Thank you to all nurses for the incredible work you do for pediatric patients worldwide.
