Physician WSPF: Septic Shock, Ventricular Dysfunction, and Hemodynamic Monitoring: Where Are We Now?

In this video, Margaret M. Parker, MD, MCCM, Division Chief of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Stony Brook Children's Hospital; Professor of Pediatrics, Anesthesia, and Medicine at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine; and Associate Editor, Critical Care Medicine, will review the key elements related to the history of septic shock, ventricular dysfunction, and approach to hemodynamic monitoring in sepsis.

  • Learn the natural history of myocardial depression in septic shock
  • Review the approach to goal-directed therapy in the treatment of pediatric septic shock
