Originally screened in 2015, Martha A.Q. Curley, PhD, RN, FAAN, discusses the development and implementation of the RESTORE Protocol, which originated at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Curley also describes how the RESTORE protocol is used, how this protocol affects outcomes of sedated pediatric patients on mechanical ventilation and how sedation can be managed safely by nurses.

The interview was conducted by Dr. Jean Solodiuk, PhD, RN, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Manager/Nurse Scientist, Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital.
